Coca-Cola HBC is one of the largest bottlers of non-alcoholic beverages in Europe, operating in 28 countries with a total population of more than 540 million.

As a people-intensive business, Coca-Cola HBC puts great emphasis on the skills and motivation of all its employees creating strategies designed to attract, develop and retain the best people.

In 2003, Coca-Cola HBC began developing an Employer Branding strategy, their target for our country being to build brand awareness around HBC and to be positioned on the labour market among preferred employers.

At the end of 2005  "Passion for Excellence" became the employer promise for Coca-Cola HBC at group level.

Starting with 2003, Retina has been helping Coca-Cola HBC Romania with:
  • creating a unitary employer image among the Romanian people during 2003-2005
  • communicating the “Passion for Excellence” promise in Romania (starting with 2006)

Solution

2003-2005

The work was started with translating the employer brand essence in a symbol and slogan. It was important for the company to differentiate itself from The Coca-Cola Company, and to be promoted as “World Class Selling Organization”. It was important for the branding to portray both the company and the people, and to express the idea that the company is growing and also it is investing in its people so that they could grow too. Each individual in turn contributes to the success of the company and has fun doing it.

All these concepts have been summarized in the slogan “Experience Success. Enjoy growing together”

For the image it was chosen a classic Coca-Cola symbol, the “dynamic ribbon”, to showcase the brand that CCHBC is representing. It was also added the CCHBC logo to differentiate the bottling company from the Coca-Cola company. In the end the image was liven up with a metaphoric chain, the link between the company and the people symbolizing also the strong connection between everyone’s success.

We then created graphics for articles in magazines, posters for campus activities and job fairs, customized PowerPoint presentations, interactive flash animations for company presentations within the fairs and campus activities.


2006-present

Launching the “Passion for excellence” promise meant new materials, new presentations and the release of a new website,  www.cchbcjobs.ro

The idea of a character, that would represent a passionate employee of CCHBC, and that would introduce all the potential candidates to its world, flourished and it was materialized into the “little bottle man”. It is present in the website, it was present on flyers on magazines and it was the main character of the animated presentation.


The website built especially to complete the “employer branding” efforts, does not only include information about the company and its strategies for employees but also a useful web recruitment platform for potential candidates to find out about vacancies within CCHBC and apply online for them.
