Issue

Julie Hunt is the copywriting guru and inspiration behind SHE, a virtual space for giving women back their personal and professional power.

On one hand Julie needed to revamp her image, (logo and website) to suit more her personality, delicate, sensible, full of life, on the other hand she needed a space for selling her products, writing her articles and keep her audience interact with each other.

Solution

For the name and the tag line in the logo we incorporated grey, the color that she loved for its simplicity, and we added 3 colors for accents and together with that we added the playfulness and the “love of life” spirit she desired.

For the website, to maintain flexibility as the information on it was growing, Retina implemented the Webalive Content Management System. In one minute Julie can easily add in new articles in the “Fun inspiration” area or new events that she is attending or new products that she is recommending, the next minute the visitors can purchase the products online.

Besides a website makeover, she also needed a practical solution to manage her courses, the participants, the resources made available, a solution to make participants interact in a professional environment.  Our solution was customizing a good, existing, open-source system, Moodle. We set-up the moodle and gave it the look and feel of her website. Having an user friendly interface and coming with its own manual, gave her the possibility to quickly insert the courses herself, participants,  resources..etc.

Result

The solution we offered, implementing the Webalive CMS and the Moodle, proved to be efficient both from the functionality point of view and the budget aspect.
