City Paintball is one of the first companies that started to promote this recreational game on the Romanian market. The company also built the first real paintball course in Bucharest, previously paintball games were organized in the woods, near the outskirts of the city.
Issue
Being an entirely new activity on the local market, paintball had little or no players; so we quickly realized that this website needed first to be an educational tool and then a selling tool.
Solution
Again we turned towards Flash technology, that gave us the richness and speed needed to create a very dinamic storyline that gives visitors a taste of adrenaline...
Once the visitor is pumped up and ready to go, he can dive into the website's content, that covers a wide array of paintball knowledge from basic rules to game types to safety tips.
CityPaintball's uniquely designed course has it's own special page, where you can actually view the course from all angles, learn it's best spots and plot your game plan on the interactive map picture gallery.
Being the most comprehensive and visually impactful website on the subject in Romania, it became a reference point of the entire industry. Besides the successful launch of the first paintball field, CityPaintball had to thank it's website for kickstarting another aspect of the business that they were not even focusing on yet: franchising. Hundreds of franchising inquiries came through the website and in a couple of years the CityPaintball brand became popular all over the country, with franchised paintball fields opening up in major cities.
